White Friday 2026 UAE — Dates, Which Codes Still Work on a Big Basket, and What to Skip | وايت فرايداي 2026

Short answer: White Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November in the UAE, with the real price cuts starting in the week of 23 November and running on through Cyber Monday on 30 November. The part almost no page tells you: most Gulf coupon codes are capped in dirhams, so on a big White Friday basket they are worth close to nothing. A 5% cashback code capped at AED 10 returns 0.5% on an AED 2,000 basket. Knowing which of your codes are capped and which are not is worth more on this one weekend than any code-hunting.

The cap problem — why your usual code stops working on White Friday
This is the single most useful thing on this page, and it is the opposite of what every other White Friday article tells you.
Most Gulf coupon codes are percentage codes with a ceiling set in dirhams. noon’s HF810 is 5% cashback capped at AED 10. Namshi’s ERR63 is 5% capped at AED 10. Those are perfectly good codes in ordinary months, when a basket is AED 150 and the cap never binds.
White Friday is the one weekend of the year when baskets are large. And a cap that never mattered suddenly swallows almost the whole discount:
| Basket | 5% code capped at AED 10 returns | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|
| AED 200 | AED 10 | 5% — the cap binds exactly here |
| AED 500 | AED 10 | 2% |
| AED 1,000 | AED 10 | 1% |
| AED 2,000 | AED 10 | 0.5% |
| AED 3,000 | AED 10 | 0.33% |
The crossover is AED 200. A 5% code with an AED 10 ceiling reaches that ceiling at a basket of AED 200 and never pays another dirham after it. The arithmetic is just the cap divided by the rate: 10 ÷ 0.05 = AED 200.
So on White Friday, when you are spending AED 1,500 on a television, the code you normally reach for returns AED 10. That is not a reason to skip it — AED 10 is still AED 10 — but it is a reason to stop organising your shopping around it, and to know which of your codes behave differently.
Which codes still pay on a large basket
Uncapped percentage codes are the ones that matter in late November, because they scale with the basket instead of flattening out. Here is how the codes on this site split:
| Code | Brand | Structure | On an AED 2,000 basket |
|---|---|---|---|
| MM61 | Sam Edelman UAE | 20% off, uncapped, no minimum | AED 400 |
| DA10 | Al Daham (KSA) | 10%, uncapped — runs to 30 Nov, so it spans White Friday | SAR 200 |
| MM19 | Ontime | 10% off watches and jewellery | AED 200 |
| MM104 | Allbirds UAE | 10% off | AED 200 |
| MPN7 | Myprotein | 10%, stacks on the sitewide sale | AED 200 |
| HF810 | noon UAE | 5% cashback, capped at AED 10 | AED 10 |
| ERR63 | Namshi UAE | 5% cashback, capped at AED 10 | AED 10 |
Read that table as a shopping order, not a ranking. If your White Friday list includes a brand with an uncapped code, put the large purchase there. Use the capped codes on the small baskets where they still return their full percentage — under AED 200 each — rather than spending them on the television.
One more structural point worth knowing: noon’s HF810 and Namshi’s ERR63 are cashback, not a checkout discount. The money lands in the brand’s own wallet after the order rather than coming off the price you pay, and those wallets are per-storefront. On a White Friday purchase you may not intend to repeat, cashback into a wallet is worth less to you than the same figure off the till.
When White Friday actually runs in the UAE
It is not one day, whatever the name suggests. The shape of the campaign is consistent year to year:
- Early to mid-November — teaser campaigns. Prices move very little; this phase is for building wishlists and letting retailers record what you want.
- Week of 23 November — the first genuine cuts land, and on electronics these are often as deep as the ones on the day itself.
- Friday 27 November — the headline day, best stock depth, worst delivery slots.
- Through Cyber Monday, 30 November — the follow-on period. Clearance of what did not sell, which is where the genuinely odd bargains are, on the references nobody wanted at full price.
If you want one piece of timing advice: the week of 23 November is usually the sweet spot. Stock is still deep, the cuts are mostly already live, and the delivery network is not yet saturated.
Where the discounts are real
- Electronics and appliances — the deepest and most genuine cuts, because the price is comparable across retailers and nobody can hide behind a made-up “was”.
- Sportswear and trainers — real, particularly on last-season colourways.
- Watches and jewellery — real but shallower; this is a category where an uncapped percentage code often beats the sale, which is why the code table above matters here.
- Large furniture and mattresses — frequently real, and the one category where delivery timing should decide when you buy rather than price.
Where it is mostly theatre
- Mid-market fashion — much of it is moved onto a “sale” rail at a price it was already selling at.
- Grocery and everyday consumables — margins are too thin for a real White Friday cut; what you see is usually a normal promotion with a banner on it.
- Beauty — thinner than the advertising suggests, with gift sets often priced above the sum of their parts.
The “was price” test, in one step
Before you believe a crossed-out price, ask one question: was the item actually in stock at that price in September? If a retailer only listed it at the higher price in late October, the “was” is a staging price and the discount is arithmetic rather than a saving. Screenshot anything you are serious about in early November and you will have your own evidence.
How to prepare, practically
- Build the basket in early November and leave it. You get a price record, and many retailers will send you a better offer on an abandoned basket than they will publish.
- Work out which of your codes are capped before the day, using the table above. Decide now which basket each one goes on.
- Check stacking in the cart, not in the terms. Paste the code against a sale item and read the discount line. Most sitewide codes are blocked on reduced stock, and the cart tells you in seconds what the terms page will not.
- Pay by card, not cash on delivery. Promotional discounts drop out of COD flows on several Gulf checkouts, and White Friday is the worst possible day to discover that.
- Order early for delivery, not for price. The courier network saturates around the 27th; a purchase on the 24th often arrives a week sooner than the same one on the 28th.
- Check VAT is on the discounted total. In the UAE 5% should be calculated after the discount, so a code also trims the tax.
White Friday across the rest of the Gulf
The same weekend, materially different final prices, because tax is the variable that nobody advertises:
| Market | VAT | What that means on a 1,000-unit basket after a 20% code |
|---|---|---|
| Kuwait | None | 800 |
| Qatar | None on most goods | 800 |
| UAE | 5% | 840 |
| Oman | 5% | 840 |
| Bahrain | 10% | 880 |
| Saudi Arabia | 15% | 920 |
Saudi shoppers pay the most tax of the six — which is precisely why a code that comes off before VAT is worth more in the Kingdom than anywhere else in the Gulf. Every SAR 100 of discount also removes SAR 15 of tax. See the Saudi Arabia codes and UAE codes hubs for what is live in each market.
White Friday, Black Friday and 11.11 — which is which
Three events, three weeks apart, and the naming causes genuine confusion in search:
| Event | Date | Where it is biggest |
|---|---|---|
| 11.11 Singles’ Day | 11 November | Marketplaces — noon, AliExpress, SHEIN |
| White Friday | 27 November | The Gulf — UAE, KSA, Kuwait |
| Black Friday | 27 November | Egypt and Western markets |
| Cyber Monday | 30 November | Electronics clearance everywhere |
White Friday and Black Friday are the same weekend under different names — the Gulf rebranded it because Friday is the day of congregational prayer and “black” carries unhelpful connotations in Arabic. If you are shopping Egyptian storefronts, you want Black Friday in Egypt; for Gulf storefronts, this page.

Frequently asked questions
When is White Friday 2026 in the UAE?
Friday 27 November 2026. Teaser campaigns start in early to mid-November, the first genuine cuts land in the week of 23 November, and the event runs on through Cyber Monday on 30 November.
Why do my coupon codes save so little on White Friday?
Because most Gulf codes are capped in dirhams. A 5% code with an AED 10 ceiling reaches that ceiling at a basket of AED 200 and pays nothing more above it — on an AED 2,000 basket it returns AED 10, an effective 0.5%. Use capped codes on small baskets and save the uncapped ones for the large purchase.
At what basket size does a capped code stop being worth it?
Divide the cap by the rate. A 5% code capped at AED 10 binds at AED 200; above that the effective rate falls steadily. The code is still free money, but it should stop driving which shop you buy from.
Which coupon codes are uncapped?
On this site, Sam Edelman’s MM61 at 20% with no cap and no minimum is the strongest, followed by the 10% uncapped codes — Al Daham’s DA10, Ontime’s MM19, Allbirds’ MM104 and Myprotein’s MPN7. noon’s HF810 and Namshi’s ERR63 are both capped at AED 10.
Do coupon codes work on White Friday sale prices?
Often not. Most sitewide codes are blocked on already-reduced stock, so a deep White Friday price and a code are usually alternatives rather than a stack. Paste the code against the sale item and read the discount line — the cart answers in seconds what the terms page will not.
Is White Friday actually cheaper, or is it staged?
It depends entirely on the category. Electronics, appliances, sportswear and furniture see genuine cuts. Mid-market fashion, grocery and much of beauty are largely repackaged normal promotions. The test is whether the item was in stock at the “was” price in September.
Should I buy on 27 November or earlier?
The week of 23 November is usually the better buy. The cuts are mostly already live, stock is still deep, and the courier network has not yet saturated — the same order placed on the 24th often arrives a week sooner than one placed on the 28th.
What is the difference between White Friday and Black Friday?
They are the same weekend under different names. The Gulf uses White Friday; Egypt and Western markets use Black Friday. Both fall on 27 November 2026.
Is White Friday better than 11.11?
11.11 on 11 November is a marketplace event — noon, AliExpress, SHEIN — and skews towards smaller, lower-value items where capped codes still work properly. White Friday skews towards big-ticket electronics and appliances. If you are buying a television, wait for White Friday; if you are buying ten small things, 11.11 is often the better weekend.
Should I shop White Friday from Saudi Arabia or the UAE?
Final prices differ by tax, not by the sale: Kuwait and Qatar charge no VAT, the UAE and Oman 5%, Bahrain 10% and Saudi Arabia 15%. On a 1,000-unit basket after a 20% code that is 800 in Kuwait against 920 in the Kingdom. Codes are normally locked to the storefront that issued them, so this affects which market’s site you shop, not which code you use.
Is VAT charged before or after the White Friday discount?
After. UAE VAT of 5% is calculated on the discounted total, so a code reduces the taxable amount rather than being taken off afterwards. The same applies in the other Gulf markets at their own rates.
Does cash on delivery affect my discount?
It can. Promotional discounts drop out of cash-on-delivery flows on several Gulf checkouts. Pay by card on White Friday and confirm the discount line is still present before you place the order.
