Which tier is actually worth it
Daily and weekly hires are where P48 does its best work. A weekend or a week in an economy or mid-size car sits comfortably under the cap, so you get the full 10% or 8%. A week-long hire around AED 1,000 lands close to the AED 100 ceiling without wasting any of it.
Monthly hires get a flat AED 100 in most cases. Any monthly rental above AED 2,000 hits the cap, so the real saving shrinks as a percentage the more you spend. eZhire’s own terms also state that once a booking turns into a monthly booking, any promo discount is removed or limited to AED 100 — so extending a weekly booking past the monthly mark can cut back the discount you started with.
Premium cars hit the cap fastest. A large SUV or luxury car on a daily rate passes AED 1,000 within a few days, after which 10% becomes a fixed AED 100.
Costs the code does not touch
No deposit is a real advantage, but the headline rental rate is not the whole bill. Per eZhire’s UAE terms and FAQs:
- Delivery and collection — AED 39 each way in the UAE, excluding VAT.
- Mileage — 225 km a day (275 km in Abu Dhabi), 1,400 km a week (1,750 km in Abu Dhabi) and 2,000 km a month on standard bookings. Excess starts at AED 0.60 per km for hatchbacks and sedans.
- Salik tolls and traffic fines — charged to you, and eZhire adds a surcharge of up to 15% on fines.
- Insurance — basic cover is included; full cover is an optional extra. Punctures, tyres, wheel caps, aerials and windscreens are not covered.

Mileage in the Kingdom is capped at 300 km a day, 2,100 km a week and 9,000 km a month — generous for city driving, tight for long trips out of Riyadh. Excess runs from SAR 0.80 per km (economy) to SAR 2.50 (luxury). Fuel is return-as-received: bring the car back at the level you got it, or pay the shortfall plus a surcharge and VAT.
