eZhire runs one campaign across both of its markets, so the maximum discount is set in AED even when you are paying in SAR. AED 100 is roughly SAR 102, so treat SAR 102 as the ceiling on any Saudi booking.

The rate falls as the rental lengthens but the cap does not move, so the cap binds soonest on monthly hires — 5% of a long booking passes the ceiling quickly and the discount flattens to a fixed amount. Daily and weekly rentals are where the percentage still does the work.

Saudi VAT is 15% against the UAE’s 5%, so the same car costs more in the Kingdom before any code — and because the discount is applied before tax, it saves you slightly more here than it does in Dubai.

Where the cap actually bites, in riyals

Because the ceiling is fixed at AED 100 — about SAR 102 — and the percentage changes with rental length, each tier has a rental value above which the discount simply stops growing. That figure is worth knowing before you book, and it is the one thing no other page about this code works out:

The arithmetic is just the cap divided by the rate: SAR 102 ÷ 0.10 = 1,020, ÷ 0.08 = 1,275, ÷ 0.05 = 2,040. Under those figures you get the full advertised percentage. Over them you are getting a flat SAR 102 dressed up as a percentage, and the longer or more expensive the booking, the thinner it gets.

What to do with that: on a booking well above the threshold for your tier, stop comparing discount percentages and compare the final totals instead — SAR 102 off a SAR 4,000 month is not a meaningful lever, and a competitor’s base rate decides it.

One caution on monthly bookings

eZhire’s own UAE terms state that once a booking becomes a monthly booking, a promotional discount is removed or limited to AED 100. That sits awkwardly beside the published 5% monthly tier, and we have not been able to confirm which rule the Saudi checkout applies.

The practical consequence: extending a weekly booking past the monthly threshold can cut the discount you started with, rather than simply re-rating it from 8% to 5%. If you are planning a long hire, read the discount line again after you change the dates instead of assuming the tier carried over.

Mileage is capped: 300 km a day, 2,100 km a week, 9,000 km a month, which is generous for city use but tight if you are planning long trips out of Riyadh. Credit and debit cards are both accepted, and fuel is return-as-received — bring it back at the level you got it or pay the shortfall plus a surcharge and VAT.
